Breaking: Bacon Shortage???

This is NOT a gift at all.  It is decidedly an un-gift.  It recently came to my attention, several times over, that there is apparently a bacon shortage.  Here's the montage of this bacon-strosity!  (And you know if the Colbert Report covers it, it must be serious business!):

Bacon Tic-Tacs?

Really?  Another strange bacon-hybrid product came across the other day...Tic Tacs!  Once again, I love Tic Tacs, and I love bacon, but the two together???  I'll pass.  I don't want my bacon to make my breath fresh.  Unless there is a piece of bacon totally self contained within that Tic Tac, ready to come unfurled and essentially become bacon as we know it...then pass.  After all, isn't part of the joy of bacon the texture and consistency?

While not actually a gift you can see or hear (or even taste, I suppose), I was reminded that today is apparently International Bacon Day!  So my gift is one of knowledge, as I didn't actually know this.

This gift of bacon (knowledge) was given to me by Cathie on September 1st, 2012 (today!).  Now everyone go out and celebrate!

Diet Coke...with bacon?

I know I've seen this one before somewhere, but it bears repeating, and it was gifted to my wall to boot.  There are a lot of different flavors of Coke out there that sound good, or that I'd like to try, but bacon flavor is not really one I was thinking of...

This might qualify as a bacon-hybrid product (because it isn't pure bacon, right?).  And technically, I didn't receive this gift of bacon, but rather gave it to my co-worker, Cathie.  The bacon smell might be overwhelming to some...

The Nutella-Bacon Hybrid

Oh no...another hybrid product.  I think I like nutella (from what I remember...can't have hazelnuts in this house, allergies n all), and I like bacon (no one is allergic to that in the house!).  But I decline the invitation for this one.



Is this an argument FOR or AGAINST?  I'm guessing that they are saying that my argument against trying it is invalid.  For now, I'll agree to disagree.

I am starting this blog because...

I'm not the first bacon blog, I'm not the last.  I'm not the coolest, and I probably don't post a whole lot of original things or new things.
